Our servers have to handle your traffic to carry it. They don't write down where it goes.
When you first open the app, it asks our server what your connection looks like from outside: your IP address, city and provider. The app shows this to you and uses it to pick a nearby server. The server answers and forgets it: the address and the result aren't stored or logged.
When you're connected, our VPN server necessarily sees your IP address, because that's where it sends your traffic back. It isn't kept after the connection ends.
The same goes for the My IP tool on this website.
hideonvpn.com sets no cookies and loads no ad or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs for security.
