These terms apply to the Hideon VPN app (the "App") and the service behind it ("Hideon", "we", "us"). By using the App you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and if the two conflict on how the App is licensed, Apple's prevails.
1. The service
The App creates an encrypted connection between your device and our servers. Some locations and features are free. Premium gives access to all locations and to features marked as Premium in the App. We may add, change or remove locations and features to keep the service working.
2. Subscriptions
- Premium is sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store. The price, length and any free trial are shown in the App before you confirm, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the App doesn't cancel it.
- If you cancel during a free trial, the trial ends and you aren't charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
3. Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, so we can't issue refunds ourselves. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple decides under its own policies.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App or our servers to:
- break any law that applies to you or to us;
- send spam, run attacks against other systems, or spread malware;
- infringe copyright or distribute content that is illegal;
- get into systems or accounts without permission;
- resell or share access to the service, or overload it on purpose.
You are responsible for following the laws where you are. We may suspend access that breaks these terms.
5. Privacy
We don't log the websites you visit or the content of your traffic. What the App does collect is described in our privacy policy.
6. No guarantees
We work to keep the service fast and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We can't promise it will work without interruption.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the App before it takes effect.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes go to the competent courts of Vietnam, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring them where you live.
