Is Hideon free?
You can connect to the free locations without paying. Premium adds every location, Kill Switch, Auto-protect and the extra connection modes. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe, in your local currency.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later, and Macs with Apple silicon through the App Store. One subscription covers the devices signed in to your Apple Account.
Does Hideon see the sites I visit?
Your traffic is encrypted between your iPhone and our server, and we don't keep a record of the sites you open. The app collects a short list of things it needs to work and to improve, all spelled out on What we collect.
Will a VPN slow my internet down?
A little, because your traffic takes an extra stop. Hideon measures the delay to every location and picks the fastest one for you. On weak or mobile networks, Turbo mode keeps things quick.
Why won't the VPN connect?
Most often a hotel or café Wi-Fi wants you to sign in first, another VPN app is switched on, or a location is busy. Hideon tells you which one it is. There's a full guide on VPN not connecting on iPhone.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions go through Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Hideon VPN. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Restore a purchase on a new iPhone
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, open Hideon and tap Restore purchases in the account section of the dashboard. Your Premium comes back without paying again.
